The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

The visionary game developer, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The influential industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing a devastating loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
