Fresh Details Emerge About the Finding of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Remains

New information has come to light about the untimely deaths of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were discovered at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

A Discovery

According to a report citing a person close to the family, a practitioner arriving for an appointment first raised the alarm after being unable to gain access the residence. The practitioner then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the house, Romy discovered her father's body. Accounts indicate she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had gone with her promptly called 911. Subsequently, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Proceedings

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, along with the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently being held and denied bail.

The anonymous source also disputed several earlier details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a detached unit on the grounds, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

Additionally pushed back against widely reported suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in the weeks leading up to the incident. Instead the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the residence.
