AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving

In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret group.

The adventure centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Addition

This release also brings the game's latest free story episode, titled "The Mystery."
